Course Description
:
This course approaches the study of Earth Science from a conceptual and empirical point of view. All major aspects of astronomy, geology, and meteorology are studied. The course has alternating lab periods each week (meets 7 or 8 times each week). The Earth Science Regents Examination terminates the course.

Oceanography
Course Description:
  We live on an island. This course is a study of the basic principles of oceanography. Topics include the structure of the earth and the sea floor, the physics and chemistry of the oceans, atmospheric wind and ocean circulation, waves, currents, tides, marine animals, ecological concepts, and environmental concerns.
